Krista MacKenzie
Clinical Director/Primary Therapist
Accepting New Clients
Hi, I’m Krista! I am the owner and primary therapist of KM Counselling Services! I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW/MSW) providing support to adults 18+.
I bring over 10 years of experience supporting individuals with complex mental health concerns, including mood disorders and trauma-related challenges, across community-based programs, hospital settings, and in 1:1 clinical therapy.
My approach focuses not only on symptom relief but on understanding how these struggles impact relationships—with oneself and with others. I offer a relational, client-centered approach that helps clients build insight, connection, and emotional resilience
As a relationship therapist I believe relationships, in all their forms, are such a crucial part of our growth. Whether it's the love we give and receive from others, or the way we learn to be kind to ourselves, they shape who we are. Understanding how relationships impact us—whether they’re uplifting or challenging—can provide us with such valuable insights into our own needs, boundaries, and desires.
I believe in being fully present with my clients, so I set aside note-taking during sessions to focus on connection. You’ll often find me with a cup of tea and in comfortable slippers, creating a relaxed, welcoming space, where you are encouraged to come just as you are.
